LP-AM243: XDS110 debug problem (Error connecting to the target: (Error -1170 @ 0x0)

Part Number: LP-AM243
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Tool/software:

Hello;

I received my Lp-243 Sitara board and I did all installation with following of TI pages. But when I try to debug  hello_world_am243-lp_m4fss0_nortos project from the mcu plus sdk, I have followiing error below;

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -1170 @ 0x0)
Unable to access the DAP. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).
(Emulation package 12.7.0.00130)

When I try to use ters connection button that is on target configurations, I get following error below;

This error is generated by TI's USCIF driver or utilities.

The value is '-233' (0xffffff17).
The title is 'SC_ERR_PATH_BROKEN'.

The explanation is:
The JTAG IR and DR scan-paths cannot circulate bits, they may be broken.
An attempt to scan the JTAG scan-path has failed.
The target's JTAG scan-path appears to be broken
with a stuck-at-ones or stuck-at-zero fault.

And when I try to read memory with UniFlash, I get error message below;
Error connecting to the target: (Error -1170 @ 0x0) Unable to access the DAP. Reset the device,

Could you please support me on this?

Regards

Kadir

  • Hi Kadir,

    Thanks for reaching out to Texas Instruments E2E support forum.

    Error connecting to the target:
    (Error -1170 @ 0x0)
    And when I try to read memory with UniFlash, I get error message below;
    Error connecting to the target: (Error -1170 @ 0x0) Unable to access the DAP. Reset the device,

    Can you please confirm have you initialized the EVM with SBL binaries?

    Please refer Flash_SOC_Binaries.

    This error is generated by TI's USCIF driver or utilities.

    The value is '-233' (0xffffff17).
    The title is 'SC_ERR_PATH_BROKEN'.

    This error varies greatly depending on the type of fault and therefore both CCS and the Test Connection can return different results.

    Please check that the cable used to connect the EVM and PC is connected properly and is in working condition.

    Please refer invalid-data-read-back section for more info.

    Hope the above information helps.
