May I ask if the tick I set in sysconfig is 1 microsecond? Why does the automatically generated code require 250,000 ticks for a 1-second period according to my experiments? Can you provide the relevant formula? Also, how do I obtain the current tick value?

Although not AM243 but here is a snippet from the AM64x Clock Tree Tool for DM Timer1.
So the frequency sort of depends based on source selection. In this case, we see that the default selection across MCU PLUS SDK examples is MCU_HF0SC0.
This supplies 25 MHz values which is 25000000 what you see in SysConfig.
There are different ways to change the clock frequency value. One way would be to simply go ahead and change the source, in this case we see that one more option is RC0SC0 which supplies 12.5 MHz.
The other way would be to have it as MCU_HF0SC0 itself and change the clock divider value itself.
From your other attached screenshots its not much clear what you are trying to attain.
Can you please let me know the values you want to attain by typng them in SysConfig window itself? After typing your values take a screenshot and respond with it.

This is the setting I configured in sysconfig. I set the Tick Period to 1, and I found that when initializing the timer, it resulted in 25 clock cycles. According to my calculations, one clock cycle is 40ns, and 25 clock cycles correspond exactly to 1 microsecond. However, is there any way to directly obtain the tick count? I find that calculating time based on the clock cycle myself is not precise
