SYSCONFIG: Sysconfig 1.20 / 1.21 for AM64x: Setting "pin mode" not possible for MCSPI in single peripheral mode

Part Number: SYSCONFIG
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM6422,

Tool/software:

We want to use MCSPI on the M4 core of the AM6422 in single peripheral mode without using chip select.

Unfortunately, SysConfig in version 1.20 and 1.21 does not let you set Pin Mode to "3 Pin Mode" if the "Mode of Operation" is set to "Single Peripheral".

The TRM clearly states "3-pin and 4-pin operation applies to both controller and peripheral modes."

There is a workaround possible:

If you first select "Single Controller Mode", then set the pin mode to "3 Pin Mode", then change back to "Single Peripheral Mode", pin mode in the output file "ti_drivers_config.c" is set to MCSPI_PINMODE_3PIN and the SPI communication works.

I guess that is a bug in the current SysConfig version.
