MSPM0L1306: MSPM0L1306 does not run outside debug mode

Hello!

I am using the LP-MSPM0L1306 development board to program a 24 pin version of the same MCU sitting on a different PCB. When i upload the software using the debugger, the code runs ok but as soon as i disconnect the debugger from the PCB and run the MCU just off the PCB power, the MCU doesn't seem to start. The circuitry is more or less copied from the app note.

Hi,

Please check your PA18 pins, it is pull high while power on?

Currently, it is connected to an FPGA so we can try and change the state of that pin. How ever, i can't seem to find the purpose of this pin other than "wake up from SHUTDOWN" and where to configure this?

Hi,

PA18 is BSL invoke pin by default. If you pull high while power on, MCU will enter BSL mode. As a result, you can change the state of pin or just change the invoke pin to other pin by software.

So, i configured PA18 to be pulled low but the problem persists unless i pull down NRST pin after power on!

*EDIT*

I tried disconnecting PA18 entirely from the FPGA and now it works! It seems that the FPGA does not have the time to configure its own pins until the MSP0 has already detected a logic high on PA18.

Is there a way to change this function of PA18?
