Hello There,

I have some issue on TI TMS570LC4357XX microcontroller programming through JTAG. I was able to access via JTAG and loading the firmware once and we lost control subsequently. Whenever we try to access/program via JTAG XDS200. We get following error.

After the programming some how core voltage supply went up to 1.4V from 1.2V. Could you please help us.

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -1170 @ 0x0)
Unable to access the DAP. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).
(Emulation package 9.12.0.00150)

Hi Keyoor,

Error-1170: This is usually caused by either a hardware failure on the board or invalid code on the MCU flash that causes it to reset itself continuously. Have you programmed any code to the flash before? If it is caused by the invalid code, please try this procedure to let CPU enter a debug state:

Open the target configuration window, and launch the selected the configuration
Switch to debug window.
Press the reset (nRST) button and hold it.
Click “Connect Target” immediately after you release the nRST button.
The board should be connected after couple tries.
