MSPM0L1304: Number of "WakeUp-Pins"

In the data sheet I can find 4 pins in “Table 6-3. Signal Descriptions” which can be woken up from ShutDown mode: PA0, PA1, PA17, PA18
According to “Table 6-1. Pin Attributes”, the controller “MSPM0L1304” only has two wake-up pins.
CCS also only suggests the two pins “PA17” and “PA18” for the wake-up function.

Is the data sheet wrong at this point or can the pins “PA0” and “PA1” also be woken up from ShutDown mode?
If this is possible, how do I implement this in CCS?

Hi Christian,

On this device, PA0, PA1 are the 5v tolerant pins and according to table 6-2, both can be used to wake the device. I double checked in the TRM and was successful in CCS using Sysconfig to configure these pins with the option to enable wake on PA0, PA1.

I would strongly suggest using Sysconfig to configure the IOs and peripherals.

Hello Dennis,

Thank you very much for your reply.
I am using SysConfig and have tried to configure the pin as you described.

However, pin PA0 is only shown if I set the “IO-Structure” to “5V Tolerant Open Drain”.

Have I missed a setting?

Hi Christian,

That is correct. PA0 and PA1 are the two 5v tolerant pins on this device. Keep in mind that when it says 5v tolerant it means these are "open drain" output, so you will need to provide a pull up resistor to make the pins go high.

Hello Dennis,

thanks for your answer.

PA0 and PA1 dont need to be 5V tolerant.
I just want to use the pins as “wake-up” pins.
However, I cannot make this setting in the SysConfig.
If I do this, I dont have a pin to choose from (see the pictures above).

Can you tell me what I have to set in the SysConfig to make the “wake-up”-function for these pins?
