Dear Support Team,

I am currently working with the TM4C1297NCZAD microcontroller and have two questions regarding Texas Instruments development tools:

  1. Compatibility of TMDSEMU200-U Debug Probe: I would like to confirm if the TMDSEMU200-U Debug Probe (XDS200 USB Debug Probe) is compatible with the TM4C1297NCZAD microcontroller. Specifically, can we use this device to program and update the board that incorporates this microcontroller?

  2. Using LM Flash Programmer: My team is accustomed to using LM Flash Programmer for programming and firmware updates. I would like to know if we can continue using the LM Flash Programmer with the TMDSEMU200-U to program the TM4C1297NCZAD microcontroller. If so, are there any special considerations we should be aware of?

    Yes, XDS200 is compatible with TM4C12x MCU. You can use among the various XDS debug probes such as XDS200, XDS110 and XDS560 debug probes to program and debug TM4C12x family.

    No, LM Flash Programmer does not support XDS200. Only ICDI debug probe is supported by LM Flash Programmer. However, you can use Uniflash which is another TI-wide programmer to program TM4C with debug probes as mentioned above (e.g. XDS200/110/560. See below selectable debug probes in Uniflash for TM4C1298NCZAD.
