MSPM0L1304: IOMUX INENA setting not always required?

Part Number: MSPM0L1304
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSPM0L1306

Tool/software:

Hi,

I have a customer who's found that for some peripherals it seems like it's not required to set INENA bit for the corresponding IOMUX register. For example if they configure the timer G for input capture, it appears to capture valid input even without the customer manually setting the INENA bit.

However for UART RX, they would need to set INENA for the UART RX functionality to work. I would expect that it's mandatory for every function to have to manually configure INENA, but this doesn't seem to be the case.

Are there any other peripherals that will configure INENA "automagically" when setting pin function?
