I am using the TMS570LC4357 controller in my project. I am trying to implement EMIF_WAIT as an extended wait for external memory.
Kindly help me implement the extended wait.

Your configuration looks fine, and based on your configuration you selected low polarity for EMIF:
However, are you sure that slave is applying low level on EMIF_WAIT pin to extend the strobe level and to create the wait.
Actually, slave should apply the low on the EMIF_WAIT pin based on required delay it wants. If slave didn't send low on the EMIF-WAIT then delay will not get introduced into the communication.

In CEnCFG, what value should be given for the TA bit?
In this waveform, read and chip selects are not extended with respect to EMIF_Wait.

Hi Priyanka,
One more important thing is that, we should need to manually enable the strobe mode because in strobe mode only this extended delay will be possible.
If we didn't enable the strobe mode, then it is not possible to extend the delay with EMIF_nWAIT signal.
So, make sure to enable the below highlighted SS bit along with the configurations i mentioned earlier:
After doing above configurations make sure you are making low on the EMIF_nWAIT signal to create the extended delay.
Adn you are correct MAX_EXT_WAIT will determine the max extended delay:
By default, this value is zero, so that means we can create max of 16 clock cycles delay and if needed we can further extend the delay by increasing this value.
