MCU-PLUS-SDK-AM243X: Problems flashing/debugging "ENDAT diagnostic single channel" position sense example

Part Number: MCU-PLUS-SDK-AM243X

Tool/software:

Dear E2E Users,

I'm new to the TI Sitara world and embedded programming in general, so I'm trying to learn from the TI examples. This question is about the endat_diagnostic_single_channel_am243x-lp_r5fss0-0_freertos example from the MCU+ SDK. .

A few weeks ago, I was able to run the example on the R5_0_0 core without any problems, so I was able to communicate with the Endat encoder. For a few days now, an error always occurs when flashing. The same error occurs during the debug session.

It looks like CCS is interpreting the single core example as a multicore project. I don't know that I have changed any settings at all.

I remember that during the first flash the “Launching Debug Session” window pops up, where you can decide on which core the application should be flashed. Can I repeat this setting manually? Or can someone help me which project settings I might have changed, or what i'm doing wrong? I'm using CCS version 12.7.0.00007 and SDK version 9.2.0.09

Best regards Nico

  • Hi Nico,

Thanks for reaching out to Texas Instruments E2E support forum.

  • Hey Tushar,

in the meantime I could solve this issue.
I just deleted the whole project folder in the CCS workspace and reimpored it.The Launching Debug Session window appeared at the first flash attempt. I selected the 0_0 core and everything works fine.

    This case can be closed.

  • Hi Nico,

    Thanks for the update.

I just deleted the whole project folder in the CCS workspace and reimpored it.

Instead of reimporting the project you can re-configure the target configuration (*.ccxml) file and save it. After saving the file you can click on debug button and you will again get window to select core for debugging.

Please refer below video for reference.
