AM263P4-Q1: Resolver block read incorrect sine and cosine data

Part Number: AM263P4-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM263P4

Tool/software:

Hi,

When I was using AM263P4 HW resolver IP block, I found that the sine and cosine data from register 0x502CB0EC is not correct at some motor speed, while the data is correct at other motor speed. The input signal of the ADC is reference sine and cosine from signal generator. The figures show the sine and cosine signals in CCS and MATLAB with the motor speed at 40Hz (600rpm) and 41Hz (615rpm). I found that at the speed of 40Hz, 45Hz, 50Hz... 100Hz, the data is correct, while at other speed point, the data is wrong. I tested the waveform with scope and it was smooth. Do you have any idea on why the original signals are not correct? Thank you very much!

  • Hi Yuxin Liu,

We are investigating this with further details from you on email. Will update this e2e after we come to a conclusion there.

    Thanks,
    Tejas Kulakarni

  • Hi Tejas,

Thanks for your reply. It seems that the ADC_RESULT is not available to us and I can only read the original data from register OBS_ADC and OBS_ADC_REC. it seems the sampling is switching between the sin and cos waveforms. Do you have any idea on this right now? Or did you have any test results on this block? Here shows the configuration with syscfg. Thank you very much!
