TMS570LC4357-SEP: TMS570LC4357 Nerror Pin Disable with ECC setting enabled for 1bit and 2bit errors

Part Number: TMS570LC4357-SEP

Tool/software:

Hi,

We need to perform CRC validation on the binary stored in the internal flash of the TMS570LC43XX. If any sectors within that memory range are in an erased state, the NERROR pin is triggered due to a Group 2 error. Could you please advise on how to disable the NERROR pin while still enabling ECC to generate a Group 2 error without triggering the NERROR pin?

  • Hi Gopi Krishna,

Group-2 errors have no configurable control on nERROR pin, they will always generate nERROR if any group-2 error occurred.

Only Group-1 errors have the configurable control over nERROR pin, that means if we want, we can configure to not trigger nERROR for group-1 but it is not possible for Group-2 and Group-3.
