MSPM0G1106: Enabling GPIO pin's internall pull-up or pull-down resistor

Part Number: MSPM0G1106

Tool/software:

Hi,

I'm currently using an MSPM0G1106 as a host MCU in my application.

If I wanted to ensure that internal pull-down resistor is enabled for a GPIO pin which I'll be using as an active-high pin, do I need to select one from the "IO structure" field shown in the snapshot below? Or is leaving it as "Any" ok? What would be the best way to ensure that the pull-down resistor is enabled?

Thank you,

Kyungjae Lee

  • Hi Kyungjae,

According to datasheet, you could choose among standard-drive IO, high-speed IO and high-drive IO. If there is no large current driving requirement of this GPIO pin(over than 6mA), you could choose from standard-drive IO.

As for the "IO Structure" selection menu, according to your selection, there will be different selectable results in "PinMux" item. This could help you to filter the IO feature you want.

And what is really matter for a pull-down resistor is the configuration below:

  • Hi Pengfei,

I appreciate the explanation. That last part helped!
