AM2632: Flash writer example is writing all zeros in th memory

Hello,

We are trying sbl_jtag_uniflash example to write sbl_qspi image on the external memory on the development board.(Cc). We are trying this in qspi boot mode,as our final board has qspi boot mode only.

With this, flashing is successful and verification is also successful but when read the memory, I see all zeros there.

What could be the reason for this!

What are the other ways to flash external memory in qspi boot mode?

Hi Yogini,

Few questions:

1. Are you trying on a TI evm or on a custom board?

2. How are you reading the memory? Through memory browser?

You can always use the UART uniflash script or Uniflash tool

I am using evm . Yes memory browser.

But these tools need another boot mode . We want to establish a procedure for custom board which has qspi boot mode only. Hence , we need a procedure to flash external memory without changing boot mode.

Hi Yogini,

You can use the JTAG(debug port) to load the flash writer binary(like SBL JATG) and write to the flash then reset the OSPI controller and the core. Then the SBL can boot from the new application after the R5F reset is released.
