TMDSCNCD263P: Can it replace TMS320F28379D?

I have a few questions regarding this control card:

  1. How many ADC channels are routed to the edge connector?
  2. Are there any example codes, such as CCSware, available for this product?
  3. Does it include the enhanced configuration of the chip?
  4. Do you offer any control cards from the TI portfolio similar to the TMS320F28379D but with a greater number of PWM and ADC channels?

      1. 24 ADC channels are routed to the edge connector
    2. Are there any example codes, such as CCSware, available for this product?
      1. There are many software examples for this EVM. Get started using the AM263Px Control Card Quick Start Guide.
    3. Does it include the enhanced configuration of the chip?
      1. Can you please elaborate on what you mean by enhanced configuration? The part number used on the EVM is XAM263P4ASOKFZCZ
    4. Do you offer any control cards from the TI portfolio similar to the TMS320F28379D but with a greater number of PWM and ADC channels?
      1. TMDSCNCD263P offers 24 ADC channels and 15+ EPWM channels (more available via device pinmux).

    Hi Brennan,

    Thanks for answering my questions. 

    3. On page no. 7 of AM263P datasheet, there is information about enhanced analog configuration which has more ePWM channels and ADC channels than the standard version. I was wondering if TMDSCNCD263P has the enhanced analog configuration of the AM263P chip.

    Hi Abhinav,

    Yes, the TMDSCNCD263P has the AM263P4 device with the enhanced Analog configuration. The full part number of the AM263P4 device on the TMDSCNCD263P is XAM263P4ASOKFZCZ. The K in the part number nomenclature indicates the enhanced Analog configuration. See section 9.1.2 - Device Naming Convention in the datasheet for more details.
