Hi
I am new to the motor control field, as part of some motor control project our customer suggested to use TMDS243EVM. From TI website it is found that TMDS243EVM will support 'MOTOR-CONTROL-SDK-AM243X — Motor Control SDK for AM243x - RTOS'. unfortunately i couldn't find out the connection details and also supported motor details from the TI website. Please help me to get the connection details to interface any type of(BLDC, induction, DC shunt) motor with TMDS243EVM.
Hi
What application are you trying to build using AM243x? You can look at following page to understand more about modules supported in SDK. Each example page has details on HW setup needed for that example.
AM243x Motor Control SDK: Examples and Demos (ti.com)
TMDS243EVM is supported for few examples, but needs additional daughter card(s). We support all examples on AM243x-LP Board + BP-AM2BLDCSERVO combination. So I would suggest using this if there is no specific reason for using TMDS243EVM.

Hi
Thank you for your response. I am try to build motor control application using TMDS243EVM. This is first time i am going to use TMDS243EVM and our customer supplied this board for our learning purpose. So that i want to build/learn the motor control application using this board. As you said in reply, could you please give me the details of all the supporting boards required to build and demonstrate a motor control application using the TMDS243EVM. it will be better if you can provide the connections details between each board.
Hi
I have gone through the link which you have provided. Could you please suggest the combination of daughter card(s) and Booster boards (Like this AM243x-LP Board + BP-AM2BLDCSERVO combination) that can be supported by TMDS243EVM.

Which example are you trying to run?
TIDEP-01032 EtherCAT-Connected Single-Chip Dual-Servo Motor Drive Reference Design is based on AM243x-LP.
For examples which are supported on EVM, you can check Hardware Prerequisites section for example.

Hi
I have gone through the examples, Cold you please suggest motor part number that suitable for examples mentioned in TI website.
Hi
TIDEP-01032 EtherCAT-Connected Single-Chip Dual-Servo Motor Drive Reference Design is the only example with motors. It uses BLY342D-48V-3200 Anaheim Automation 3-phase Brushless DC motors. Please refer to TIDEP-01032 Design Guide for more details.

Hi
I had seen this example using One LP-AM243 Evaluation board. In my case, i am using TMDS243EVM. so to control the motor(BLY342D-48V-3200) i need to buy BP-AM2BLDCSERVO — AM2x Brushless-DC (BLDC) Servo Motor BoosterPack, is my understanding is correct? If so, could you please guide mee to make connections from TMDS243EVM board to BP-AM2BLDCSERVO — AM2x Brushless-DC (BLDC) Servo Motor BoosterPack.

Hi
We do not support TMDS243EVM+BP-AM2BLDCSERVO combination in SDK directly. You will have to make connections manually between TMDS243EVM and BP-AM2BLDCSERVO, as the TMDS243EVM does not fit onto EVM directly. You will have to understand the pinout of high-speed expansion (HSE) connector of TMDS243EVM and connect it to required pins of BP-AM2BLDCSERVO.
You will have to create a daughter card which connects TMDS243EVM and BP-AM2BLDCSERVO.
