Dear Champs,

My customer tried to SDL PBIST test in their applicationSW, but faced hang(stuck) on below region(memoryGroupsBitMap=10u)

My customer just added SDL PBIST example in their applicaiton source as below.

When I checked UG, I found below comments, but I'm not sure what should check for proper state for PBIST SDL test and if L2 cache can be accessed properly.

Please let me know how they can add SDL example for PBIST on their application SW.

They are using MCU+SDK v8.5.

Hi Si,

PBIST is a destructive test. When it's tested on active memory, it will destroy the contents of that memory. In this case, if your customer is using MSS_L2_0 bank and also trying to test it, it may cause the device to behave abnormally. Also MSS_L2 bank 0 and 1 are tested by ROM bootloader. You can skip testing these memories.

Then, could you please where customer find memoryGroupsBitMap # information for each memory region?

When they checked TRM(spruj4.pdf), they found below table, but it seems this value is not same as SDL example in above.

For example, MemoryGroupbitMap of L2_0 is defined as 10 in of SDL example, but the memory group number is 15 in TRM(Table 7-7, R5 PBIST)

Could you please let me know where customer can find memoryGroupsBitMap # information for each memory region?

I have confirmed internally. Data provided in the file mcu_plus_sdk\source\sdl\pbist\v0\soc\am263x\sdl_pbist_soc.c is correct. I will raise a ticket to correct the information in TRM.
