This is similar/same bug as this post which says was fixed in update SDK release.

SDK-AM243x Version: 10.00.00.20
CCS Version: 12.7.1.00001
SysConfig Version: 1.20.0

The channel config valid in lld fails due to channel config having null pointer.
It works in single controller mode, but fails in single peripheral mode.

Below is debug snippets showing problem.

Peripheral mode: null pointer check fails.

Single Controller mode doesn't have null pointer for channel config. Passes null pointer check:

Can you let me know the example which you are using so that I can reproduce this on the AM243 LP TI EVM.

Hi Vaibhav,

mcspi_loopback_dma_lld_am243x-lp_r5fss0-0_nortos_ti-arm-clang
is the example I started with.

Only modifications were made to sysconfig as shown in image below:

i.e. I switched to Single Peripheral mode and disabled TX on both SPI data lines.

To reproduce issue, just debug on LP dev kit, null pointer error message will show in debug console.
