MSPM0C1104: Do I also need to manage pins not utilized on smaller packages?

Part Number: MSPM0C1104
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Tool/software:

I'm using MSPM0C0114 in SOT-8 package. Therefore, not all IO pins from the die (I assume that all different packages contain the same die) are connected to the package pins. Do I also have to manage unconnected pins? I am more concerned about susceptibility to outside EMI than about power consumption.

I couldn't find the answer in the datasheet or the Ref-manual. In CSS Theia checked option 'Configure Unused Pins' configures the GPIO present on the package pins only.

  • You do not have to manage or concern yourself about pins that are not available on the particular package you are using.  The "Configure unused pins" relates only to those pins on the package you select in CCS Theia Sysconfig configuration tool.
