Hey Hercules Team,
I have a customer evaluating the RM57L843 for a new project and we were hoping you could help to provide guidance on how the MAC address is handled for the EMAC peripheral. Please see the customer's inquiry below!
During development, we used to program a random MAC address in RM57 microcontroller’s EMAC module so that we can do TCP/IP comms with it. Now, since that will not work in production, we would like to know if TI provides the MAC addresses for each microcontroller for production? If so, where do we find it?

Hi Matt,
We are not providing MAC Address with silicon. This link might provide some information on how to get unique MAC addresses from ieee.org:
Obtaining MAC Addresses For Products With An Ethernet Interface – IBEX Resources
Once you have your MAC addresses for your product, you can program those addresses to the MACSRCADDRLO and MACSRCADDRHI registers of each device.
However, for our latest AM2xx controllers, we are providing unique MAC addresses from TI side.
