AM2634-Q1: how to do with unused pins

Part Number: AM2634-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi, experts,

If WARMRSTn and ADC_CAL1 pins are not used in customer's application, what is the suggested way to do with them?

Thanks.

  • Hi Fan,

If WARMRSTn and ADC_CAL1 pins are not used in customer's application, what is the suggested way to do with them?

WARMRSTn pin can be left floating. Pins which need special consideration when not used is listed in the table "Pin Connectivity Requirements" in the datasheet AM263x SitaraTm Microcontrollers datasheet (Rev. D) (ti.com). ADC_CAL[0:1] analog ball must be connected (shorted) directly to ground (VSS) if unused.

  • Hi, Sahana,

    Thanks for your quick reply.

ADC_CAL[0:1] analog ball must be connected (shorted) directly to ground (VSS) if unused.

To ADC_CAL1, I find in datasheet "If all ADCx_AINy inputs for all ADC instances (ADC[0:4]_AIN[0:5]) are not used, the ADC_CAL[0:1] analog ball must be connected (shorted) directly to ground (VSS)." My understanding is if all ADC input pins are not used, then ADC_CAL0 and ADC_CAL1 should be shorted to VSS. So I want double check if some ADC input pins are used, but ADC_CAL0 and ADC_CAL1 pins are not used, how to do with ADC_CAL0 and ADC_CAL1 pins.

    Thanks.

  • Hey Fan,

I discussed this with our Analog design engineers. TI recommendation is to short ADC_CAL[0:1] pins to ground if unused.
