AM263P4: pru_io example won't import due to TICLANG_4.0.0 not being found

I am currently trying to import the pru_io example from SDK 10.00.00.35 into CCS version 12.8.1.00005. Each time I try to import the project I get the message "Compiler version 'TICLANG_4.0.0' is not current installed!". I have gone into the Help->Install Code Generation Compiler Tools menu and installed "TI Arm Clang Compiler Tools" version 4.0.0. I have closed and restarted CCS multiple times. I have restarted my computer multiple times. At this point, the Install Code Generation Compiler Tools menu is showing me that version 4.0.0 is installed, but trying to import the pru_io example project I continue to receive the message that TICLANG_4.0.0 is not installed.

Hi Nathan, have you installed the PRU CGT compiler also: AM263x MCU+ SDK: Download, Install and Setup SDK and Tools

Also Nathan, I tried a fresh installation of MCU LSU SDK and installed TI_ARM_CLANG compiler 4.0.0.0

I do not see any issue:

I know you may have tried it but could you please try a fresh installation and install all the dependencies as mentioned here: AM263x MCU+ SDK: Download, Install and Setup SDK and Tools

I have downloaded and installed the PRU CGT compiler. I have also gone into Help-> Install Code Generation Compiler Tools and made sure that my TI PRU drivers have been updated. I have also restarted my computer multiple times. Now, when I try to import the project I get the error "No TI PRU compilers, supporting device 'AM263Px', are currently installed!"

Can you share the screenshot of the error? Also which OS are you using: Windows/Linux/Mac?

Can you send me the screenshot of the Products section in CCS, see if TI-ARM clang is installed.

Nathan,

I was able to import the PRU example without any issue.

Please check if the correct TI ARM clang and PRU compiler are installed or not:

sor, not very clear about the path, can you explian more? I just follow "AM263x Control Card Quick Start Guide" and block when import project

CCS shows that PRU Compiler Tools and TI Arm Clang Compiler Tools are installed.

I had previously downloaded and run the installers for ARM-CGT-CLANG and PRU-CGT. It should be made very clear that the default installation directory for both of these is NOT c:\ti

Even after installing both of these into the c:\ti folder and restarting CCS 12.8.1, I get the same error. Here's an updated look at what I'm seeing.
