AM2631: BandGap circuit (BG_RDY) and CFG0 Register settings for test purposes

This inquiry has come up and I'd like to help resolve.

When able to read this register and even confirm it's reading 0xF for (Bit 0 to 3),

so this means the BG_RDY flag is 1 and this also means BGap is ok (normal range) ,

Do you know how one can inject this fault to be 0 for testing purposes?

Hi Chris,

So the register is read only and the voltage rail is not available for access outside of the device so I am not really sure if there is a way to do this.

Is this coming from a functional safety standpoint?

Can't say I disagree with you Ralph! I do believe for FuSa...but will confirm.

We may simply not have an answer here, I get it.

And if it's just for testing purposes (I've asked) then so be it.

Hey Chris,

Got it - I'll have a FuSa expert take a look as well but they are out until Monday. If there is a way, it's most likely done / enabled for testing under FuSa.

Works for me dude! And I've confirmed it is only for testing purposes so honestly, that take the load off in my mind.

Any additional input still welcomed, but honestly not that critical.

Also, Ralph:

We can move forward without this test, it is just to double check the impact of the failure as now it's always passing and it's ok.

But for the checklist of the implementation it should be testable for all the possible expected results.
