AM2434: Does USB-MSC-Host boot support hubs?

Hi Experts,

(1) On AM2434-EVM, I successfully booted the AM2434 using USB backup mode without a USB hub. The boot configuration is 11000010 01100100.

However, when an external USB hub is connected to AM2434-EVM, it fails to boot AM2434.

(2) In custom board, a USB-HUB chip was integrated. The AM2434 only boots successfully when this HUB chip is removed.

(3) I have received technical assistance from MCCI regarding the USB-MSC-Host software driver; however, the issue with USB-MSC-Host booting remains unresolved.

Is USB BOOT for AM243x compatible with hubs? I would appreciate any technical support from experts.

The USB MSC host mode is not supported by our current MCU+SDK offering. Please reach out to MCCI for further help.

Please refer USB_DEVICE_DRIVER for supported/non-supported USB feature.

As Tony mentions, MCCI's stack is not used in the TI boot ROM. We can run both device and host from a second stage boot loader if that's relevant, and that would give full hub support. Contact MCCI if you have a requirement.
