Tool/software:

i am working with mspm0g3507 controller. i was using system oscillator for PLL generation and to provide clock to all its peripheral like CAN ADC SPI I2C etc. but I have extarnal 16Mhz Xtal and i want to use that instead of internal sysosc. what setting i have to do in sysconfig. do you have example code that uses external clock as source?

Hi Mehul, thanks for the question. In order to use an external crystal, you can enable the HFCLK under the SYSCTL tab in sysconfig and select external crystal and enter the resonant frequency in the last box. Then under SYSPLL you can change the SYSPLL reference clock to HFCLK and enable the SYSPLLCLK for peripherals. Also setting the MCLK source to the HSCLK and the HSCLK source to HFCLK should give 16MHz as your bus speed for peripherals. Let me know if you are still having issues after doing this.
