Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN
This a a very "beginner" question. Is there any introductory doc, or "Get Started" or basic helpfile for using HalCoGen?
(I'm using TMS570LS 20216 Development kit, and maybe I just miss3ed the documentation section.
The HALCoGen Help File "TMS570LS20216SZWT Micro Controller Driver Documentation " " 1.02.000 only has a LIST of modules despite the statement "This document describes the TMS570 microcontroller peripheral drivers." The dirvers are not descirbed, only named.
I see a list of modules that look like RTOS features (semaphores, tasks and send/receive ques).
I see some structs.
But I have not found any guidance or documentation on USING HalCoGen other than the file that shows how to create a project simultaneously in HalCoGen and CCS-4.
It seems like an extremely useful tool, but without how-to-use instructions, it seems unusable.
Thanks for any tips. Will I have to play the "safety demos" to learn to use HCG?
