AM2434: How to enable CiA402

Hi Team,

My customer wants to know how they can enable CiA402 feature when they output the Beckhoff stack in the sample program for EtherCAT provided in the SDK.

The configuration is for DIO only in the xml file given and not CiA402. Can you help advise?

SSC config file：TI_ESC_8i3.xml
SDK：ind_comms_sdk_am243x_09_02_00_08
Folder：\ind_comms_sdk_am243x_09_02_00_08\source\industrial_comms\ethercat_slave\beckhoff_stack\patch\am64x_am243x_am263x

    Hi,

    In order to enable CiA402, we recommend you to use CiA 402 Example present in the SDK at {SDK_INSTALL_DIRECTORY}\examples\industrial_comms\ethercat_slave_demo\device_profiles\402_cia.

    High level documentation can be found here: EtherCAT SubDevice Demos

    This example uses TI Stack, which is made on top of the Beckhoff Stack. Please note the EtherCAT SubDevice stack provided with integrated stack offering is a trial version only. To obtain a full version of stack you will need an ETG membership which includes ESC stack code and other conformance software. This is in accordance with ETG and Beckhoff licensing terms.

    Also recommend to use the latest INDUSTRIAL-COMMUNICATIONS-SDK-AM243X.
