LP-MSPM0G3519: Can't connect to the target using debugger

Part Number: LP-MSPM0G3519
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Tool/software:

I was configuring some Mcu driver parameters on tresos and I was testing it on the launchpad, it was working fine and I was able to flash and debug new SW easily.

but when I enabled the FCC option and flashed this SW and started the debugging session it started normally but when I hit go the microcontroller died and I can't flash any new SW now, or connect to that target using TI XDS or J-link probes and not even do a factory reset from uniflash tool.

and this is a screen shot from the connection trails using J-Link probe

  • Hi, Omar

Please check M0 device's Vcc and Vcore voltage first, need to confirm that M0 power is normal.

Then try to pull up PA18 during the Powering up, let MSPM0 enter BSL mode, then try to Flash the device or do factory reset.

    Regards,

    Helic

  • I used the MSPM0_BSL_GUI.exe tool that comes with the MSPM0 SDK installation to communicate with the BSL and download an application from the attached ones in the tool and it worked, and I can now connect to the target normally, Thanks.
