AM2432: The difference between Pull-up and Pull-down resistors in Boot mode

Part Number: AM2432

Tool/software:

Hi Expert,

As shown below, this is the AM243x PROC109A evm circuit diagram.

I found that the Pull-up and Pull-down resistors in Boot mode are both Pull-up,

but there is a difference between 49.9K and 10K.

Pull-down also has the same resistance value setting.

Is there any special reason?
Will there be a problem if the resistance value is not according to evm?

Thanks

Daniel

  • Hello Daniel

The LP use dip switch to configure and hence a pullup and pulldown is used.

You could use a different value but will have to maintain the VIH and VIL requirements.

On the custom board, when dip switch is not similar value pullup and pulldown can be used. Either pullup or pulldown can be used.
