Hello.
I plan to use the actual TMS570LS20216 Development Kit as a prototyping platform for our future AUTOSAR software developments.
The question is now, if the actual development Kit is equipped with an external non-volatile memory (e.g. EEPROM) that can be interfaced via SPI to store application parameters.
In the MDK schematics I have found an external EEPROM and an external Flash. The EEPROM doesn’t look like it can be interfaced via SPI. The flash looks like it can be accessed via SPI but I’m not sure if the flash is free to be used by the application software.
The background is that an AUTOSAR demo application for the TMS570 is available that will use an external EEPROM to store data in a non-volatile memory via SPI. The problem is that this application is based on an older TMS570 development board and so also the basic software is already optimized for this older version. So I want to know in advance if the update to the new development board results in very much or almost non extra effort for reprogramming and reconfiguration.
Thank you very much for your support.
br, christian.
