Tool/software:

There are three drive types for pins to which GPIO can be assigned:

standard drive (SDIO), high drive (HDIO), and high speed (HSIO).

It is fine to assign the GPIO you want to use standard drive.

Is it okay to assign a GPIO that operates in standard drive to a high drive or high speed IO drive pin?

It is understood that open drain pins require an external pull-up resistor.

Please tell me.

High drive and high speed IOs are only available for limited pin

Such as PA12 is a high speed and PA31 is a high drive IO.

Yes, for ODIO output, need a external pullup.

Hi Hiroshi-san,

It is hardware feature. For example, if you use PA10 it is high speed IO. And if you use PA11, it is standard IO.

PA12 is high speed (HSIO) and PA31 is high drive (HDIO), but they can also operate in standard drive.

However, open drain target pins require a pull-up resistor.

GPIO that requires high drive (HDIO) or high speed (HSIO) operation can only be assigned to the target pins.

This is to confirm again.

Yes, if you won't use this feature, treat them as a standard IO.
