I need to talk with other experts on this FMTFLAGS.

But, I assume that if we configure icnt0 = 8 and FMTFLAGS = 0x00, then DMA will try to move source buffer to destination buffer for every byte till 8 bytes. This way you can complete 64 bits, and later you can decide how many bytes need to be transferred with the rest of icnt values.

Do you have any issues with transferring the above pattern ?

   my concern is that MCRC module accepts 64bit chunks of data, so I must be sure the DMA transfer will be not just 8 bytes long for each loop, but that 8 bytes will also be transferred in one shot (this is why I tought about FMTFLAGS)

I would like to use the MCRC module to compute CRC and compare with TI CLANG compiler CRC calculated for each session.

I was able to calculate successfully the CRC with MCRC and DMA using icnt0 = 8, like you recommended and every ddim1,2,3 at zero to force fix destination address.
