MSPM0L1306: Sleep current when the MCU is in Standby mode with Timer0 and GPIOA pins enabled and made as output

Part Number: MSPM0L1306

Tool/software:

Hi

MSPM0L1306 microcontroller is used for our project. We have a requirement to enable Timer and GPIOA port pins during sleep of the MCU.( MCU in Standby mode). From the data sheet i got the following information.

When timer is running, the current is 1uA. I want to know what will be the current when both the timer and GPIOA pins are enabled.

In datasheet it is mentioned separately for Timer and GPIOA.

Please let me know the current when both Timer and GPIOA pins are enabled.

Thanks

Kiran

  • Hi Kiran,

I have done the tested. And find that if timer and GPIOA are enabled, the current is tested 1.2uA.

    Zoey

  • Hi Zoey

    Thanks for the information.

Can you please help me with another clarification?

This 1.2uA is for all the GPIOA pins enabled as output or is it only for 1 pin.

For our application we will be configuring 3 pins as output and the timer will also be running. So the current will be 1.2uA during sleep or will it be more?

    Thanks

    Kiran

  • Hi Kiran,

Yes, it might be around~ 1.2uA, but please make sure if there is no other power consumption in PCB. For example, if GPIO is output and whether output current will flow resistance or LED will influence the power consumption.

What I can promise is that, if focusing on MCU itself, the current consumption is ~1.2uA

    Regards,

    Zoey
