AM2634-Q1: Is any precaution of GPIO configuration?

Part Number: AM2634-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM2634

Tool/software:

Hi experts,

I ask this question for my customer, now they want to confirm the GPIO configuration order and if the order change, is it any risk?

We can find the configuration example in TRM

But from above figure, I'm not sure the exactly order and which step is necessary.

For example, in F2800157, it will have below description, that suggest we should enable GPIO internal pullup that can keep GPIO in known state, is AM2634 also has this requirement or some other precations?

  • Hello,

Excluding pins/signals listed in the Pin Connectivity Requirements section of the device datasheet, I am not aware of needing to configure unused GPIOs a specific way. In terms of best practice, I see why it is recommended in the F28 device, as enabling the internal pull resistors does prevent floating inputs. On reset, the internal pull resistors are disabled.
I am reaching out to our wider team to see if there are specific configuration concerns like what you have detailed here.

    Thank you,

    Susan
