#1. IA1.1 fixed the bug, which revision device adopted IA1.1?

#2. Does MCU SDK implemented workaround? start from which SDK version?

Figure 2-1 shows the conceptual block diagram of IA 1.0. Potential loops are avoided by
adopting the policy of not allowing the counted event block to send events to the multicast
block.

#3. Why mentioned IA1.1? Is there plan to make a new PG to adopt IA1.1?

Tony,

Both iterations of IA, IA 1.0 and IA 1.1, are impacted by this bug and require the workaround. There is no plan to fix via new PG. I am reviewing internally to try and understand why there are descriptions of both and if it is necessary, but these erratas are reused across devices so typically they are kept generic so they can be comprehensive of all impacted devices.

I will have to defer to SW team to comment on workaround status.

Per the errata workaround, the counted event block should not send evens to the multicast block in order to avoid this deadlock scenario.

If there any example code?

Refer to AM243X TRM, I can only found IA in the DMSS and used for DMA. Does i2196 only involve the use of DMA?

DMA is usually used through the SYSCONFIG/SDK, so is this workaround already implemented in SDK or do we need to deal with in user code? If already in SDK ,please help to show the code in AM243X SDK10, otherwiese please provide an example.

Hello Liang luo,

Users don't need to worry about the IA (i2196-IA: Potential deadlock scenarios in IA.) in the MCU+SDK.

The current DMA implementation for the CPSW or other peripherals this IA deadlock issue is not applicable.

Because there is no support for Multicast events in the MCU+SDK.

Users don't need to add any workaround in the MCU+SDK and the same DMA MCU+SDK implementation can work normally without any issues.
