TMS570LC4357: How to read the data using UART & Python

Part Number: TMS570LC4357
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SAFETI-HALCOGEN-CSP

Tool/software:

Hello, this is JJ

As I know, there is pyserial library and read() function to read the C code data from MCU line by line.

If I would use the UART & Python code to read the data from the MCU (all data including cell voltages, temperatures,,) running in another different python program to communicate with MCU <-> UART <-> Python program

Is there any method or sample code to do it?

Best regards,

JJ

  • Hi, our expert for this topic is out of office and will return by 30th Dec, please expect a response early that week.

We don't have any sample code on this requirement.

All we have is the BMS demo that you already had.

  • Thank you jagadish,

and also, how can I request the secure resources?

I already got the 2 sample codes for secure resources, but I found those things only in other people's questions in forums.

Where is the link for official request about secure resources?

    Best regards,

  • Hi JJ,

and also, how can I request the secure resources?

There is no dedicated page to surf the secure resources and raise a request to access them.

Usually for Hercules controllers below are the secure resources available:

    1. SafeTI-HALCoGen-CSP
    2. TI_AUTOSAR_MCAL
    3. BMS code

Based on their project requirements customers will ask the secure resources and we will verify their NDA and will provide the links to the corresponding secure resources.

Once the secure software access got approved then they can find them at below link.

    ti.com/secureresources/

However, i will discuss with internal team whether it could be possible to have a page to list down the secure resources.
