AM263P4: Can the PRU access the Integrated PWM Module

On page 340 (section 7.3.1.2) of the technical reference it states that the PRU-ICSS feature for "Integrated PWM module" is not supported.

What does this mean? We intend to use the PRU core to calculate a PWM duty cycle and frequency to then drive the ePWM module. Is the ePWM module the same thing as the "Integrated PWM module"? Does this mean that the PRU cannot write to the registers for the ePWM module? I would like clarification on this.

No, some versions of ICSS (specifically PRU-ICSSG on AM64 and AM243x) has additional HW block to generate PWM output using IEP CMP (comparator) registers. PRU can write to ePWM module, no problem with that on AM26x family of devices.

You can use the SOC level EPWM, the description in the TRM is regarding the PWM module inside PRU ICSS.
