MSPM0G3507: Pin extension header GPIO PA3 , PA4 pin not able to set the output as low

Hi TI,

I am trying to configure the PA3, PA4 to make the output as low. As per reference manual, there is no inbuilt pinout for the same , therefore I added a pin extension header at the bottom. While configuring, I could see PA3 and PA4 are being configured but I am not able to set the output as low. Same configuration when I try for inbuilt TI pinout for example PA12, it works fine and I am able to make the ouput as low.

I am facing issue in extension header only. Do I need to anything extra configuration for the Pin extension header?

Please check launchpad schematic first, there are special function pin is not connected to hearder.

Thank you for the reply.

I understood from the schematics , we need to make some physical connection with the MCU pins to make it work.

That we can do but I could not find the resistors pins value for connection for example in case of PA2 , R9 need to be connected but value of the R9 I could not find. Can you please guide me with that?

Hi, sanjeev

PA2 on launchpad is connect to Rosc in default, which is a 100k register connect to GND.

And you are in design phase, I still recommend you to use another pin to test the internal peripherals function.

Using PA2 mean you need to connect R9 by using 0r register or direct connection using solder, and you also need to remove Rosc for PA2.

Removing Rosc register means that if you want to test Rosc function, you need to re-solder the 100k 1% register to Rosc.
