MSPM0C1104-Q1: SYSOSC Clock Configurations?

Part Number: MSPM0C1104-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

is it possible to clock down the SYSOSC on these devices to reduce the power consumption? Only in the TRM its provided: "...As the SYSOSC frequency is not fixed (it can be configured for 32, 24, 16, or 4 MHz).." (2.3.2.4 MCAL), but no other note about it. Also no information about setting of "SYSOSCCFG.FREQ=?", which is defined in DS with 24MHz. Please could you help to understand this and how we can change/set it ?

Thanks

Jens

  • Hi Jens,

I apologize for the delayed response.  Looking at the TRM, it appears the user trimmed frequencies (16 and 24 MHz)  are selected in the SYSOSCCFG register (FREQ bits).  Then to select 16 or 24 MHz specifically, section 2.3.1.2.4 User Trim procedure shows how using the SYSOSCTRIMUSER register.
