AM2434: SysConfig Memory Region vs. MPU vs. RAT

Hi Team,

My customer has a question about sysconfig.

I see that there is a memory region configuration portion, but there is also a MPU region and RAT configuration portion.

What are the differences and how should they configure these?

Hi Mari,

The MPU configuration allows you to define the memory access right/permission and its attributes.

While the RAT configuration does the region based address translation of 36bit memory address to 32bit memory address to access the upper range of the memory address.

This is used to configure the memory region that will be used by the application. Please refer MEMORY_CONFIGURATOR for more details.
