AM2432: modbus end of frame detection and IRQ

Part Number: AM2432

Tool/software:

Hi Sitara champs,

Is it possible to detect automatically a modbus end of frame to generate an interruption ?

Thank you!

Best,

Guillaume

  • Is it possible to detect automatically a modbus end of frame to generate an interruption ?

Can you provide more details ? Modbus RTU or TCP? Which HWIP is used ? Which specific packets need end of frame interrupt generation?

  • Hello !

The customer is expecting a “timeout feature” in MODBUS feature on OMAP2432 USART  as described in the here below extract from a competitor device datasheet :

The Time out feature is characterized here below :

From a firmware point of view, this feature is a true game changer to offload CPU especially for higher baudrates.

    Baudrates to be supported :

    4800 (Customer), 9600 (Customer), 19200 (Customer), 38400 (Customer), 57600 (tools), 115200 (tools), 230400 (tools), 460800 (tools), 921600 (tools)

QUESTION : is there an equivalent function on AM243x or more generally TI UART HW IP blocks?

    Thank you !

    Best,

    Guillaume
