What will happen if I run the CCM - R4F Error Forcing Mode?

When I run this test in the TMS570LS20216, the reference manual mentions that the the ESM error flag “CCM-R4F - compare” is expected after the error forcing mode completes...

1) So does that mean that the ESM will request an interrupt when the flag is asserted?

2)And if it does, is it an FIQ or an IRQ?

3) In other words, how do I check the results of CCM - R4F Error Forcing Mode?

Any help would be appreciated,

Juan Martinez

  • CCM error forcing will force a CCM error - just as if you have a lockstep compare error.  The CCM error is routed to a group 2 signal of the ESM, which will generate both an NMI/FIQ and a transition of state on the nERROR pin.
