We have a question regarding the internal VREF connection on the MSPM0 controller (MSPM0G1507). We are using the VREF+ output (PA23) to measure the battery supply voltage on the board with an ADC. Thus, we connect the VREF+ output to the ADC input pin (PA15, ADC1 analog input 0). The question is, do we need to connect VREF- to ground or can we use PA21 as a standard I/O pin. There is a block diagram of the VREF block stated in the Technical Reference Manual of the MSPM0. But it is not 100% clear that VREF+ is related to the common chip ground (VSS). I hope that VREF- is internally connected to VSS. Can you confirm that we do not need to connect VREF- to ground?
