AM2632: ECC feature for external flash memory?

My customer wants to boot AM263x from external flash memory.

Does AM263x support ECC or some kind of error correction feature for external flash memory?

    Hello Kuwahara-san,

    Typically that ECC functionality is provided on the external flash memory itself. As such the ECC modules on the AM263x MCU are targeted for internal memories. The only ECC for external memories is the ELM that is part of the GPMC interface. If ECC is required for the flash memory, your customer should select a flash memory device that includes on-chip ECC.
