I have to calculate the CRC-8/SMbus code of some bytes, based on the polynomial x⁸+x²+x¹+1. I found that the RM46L852 has a CRC controller module, but it is based on the polynomial x⁶⁴+x⁴+x³+x+1. Can I configure that controller to calculate the CRC-8/SMbus or do I have to do it via software?
