Hi,

one of our legacy device is using MSP430F5437A. it was using CCSv4 compiler on Windows 7.
we have not used any tool to generate the drivers and manually written the drivers

Considering the security requirements, we are updating the MCU to MSPM0L1228. we updated to CCS thea version 1.5.1.3 on windows 11.
also we purchased MSPM0L228 EV kit. and explored generating drivers from sysconfig tool.

Is there any migration guide for porting complete source code from MSP430 to MSPM0L228?

we want to know best way to migrate complete source code(drivers + application code) in less time.

And since you are familiar with CCSv7. I would suggest you use CCS v12.8 instead of using CCS theia. There are a lot of changes on the IDE between CCS standalone and CCS theia. It could save your time on familiar with the IDE.

The legacy product was 15 years old. and we lost CCS v4 IDE files. Right now we are compiling using batch file. So I'm not familiar with CCS also. In that scenario which IDE is better to use CCS standalone or CCS theia?

If you do not familiar with CCS standalone. Then both should be okay for you to start with.
