LAUNCHXL-TMS57004: LAUNCHXL-TMS57004 is not not appearing in CCS V20.1.0 device list

Hi!
I am trying to connect LAUNCHXL-TMS57004 to CCS. I am following quick start guide, but it seems it is not updated. In the guide is refered to some links that are available, for example: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Hercules_LaunchPad .

CCS is version 20.1.0 and there I coud not find this device in the list. When I am connecting the Launchpad to the PC via USB cablem LED are acting and PB switches are working.

I appreciate if you could clarify how shall we connect to CCS?

Hi Saeid,

The new CCS version which is based on Theia not supporting Hercules controllers for new project creation, we can only do importing of existing projects to it, but we cannot directly create the new project using this new version.

I checked with CCS team as well and they said same thing and they also said they will try to provide these features in next CCS releases.

Until then it would be good to use older version of CCS only.
