Hi Ti forum,

I have configured I2C for high drive pins PA10 and PA11 but when I am trying to write and read to EEPROM chip 24C08, I am not able to get the output on my CRO/Logic Analyzer for read and write but when I check the same in Standard pin by just changing the pin to PB3 and PB2 with other configuration as same, I am able to see the output in my CRO/Logic analyzer.

Is anything extra configuration need to be done for high drive pins for the I2C?

If you are using the MSPM0G3507 launchpad, PA10 and PA11 are connected to the back channel UART on the XDS110.

PA10 and PA11 don't have on-board pull-ups for the launchpad.

PA10 and PA11 will behave the same as other pins with regards to I2C. What are your pull-up values on PA10 and PA11?

Thank you Keith for reply. I have configured the alternate functions of these pins to I2C0_SCL and I2C0_SDA. Will it not change the configuration to I2C ? How can I use these pins for I2C ? Please guide me

Thank you Luke for reply. I have connected the SCL and SDA pin via 4.7KOhm externally via breadboard.

Hi Sanjeev,

Are you using the launchpad? If so make sure you move the J22 and J21 jumpers to have them connected to the BP instead of XDS. This will route PA11 and PA10 to the BP pins on J4.

You should be a able to configure the SysConfig configuration to use these pins. Test with a basic code example in the SDK and use sysconfig to change the assigned pins for the I2C instance.
