I am sandeep. I am facing a issue that am not able the see hercules packages and device(RM57Lx) in code composer studio in 20.1version. while installing I have select the all the family packages but still facing the same issue. I have checked older version also. still, I am facing the same issue . please suggest the solution as soon as possible.

Hi Sandeep,

The new CCS version which is based on Theia not supporting Hercules controllers for new project creation, we can only do importing of existing projects to it, but we cannot directly create the new project using this new version.

I checked with CCS team as well and they said same thing and they also said they will try to provide these features in next CCS releases.

Until then it would be good to use older version of CCS only.

Can I know which latest version of CCS is supporting for hercules family and what are the libraries need to install for hercules.

Hi Sandeep,

TI doesn't offer any simulators for these Hercules devices (this includes RM57L483) - instead our focus has been to make low-cost hardware readily available.

So, my suggestion would be that better to buy a launchpad and do the hardware emulation.
