LP-AM263P: How to fix HwiP Error

Hello,

I am currently working on LP-AM263P. I wanted to debug "ospi_flash_diag" example but my code is stuck in while loop as you can see below.

This is an example code and there is not any extra information about how I should run this example therefore it must work without any change, right? On the other hand, Why my board is stuck in HW interrupt section while system initialization is handling all HW interrupt etc.

(P.S: I am getting same error for other examples.)

Hi Basri,

1. Can you please share details about your Bootmode? Is there SBL Null flashed on the AM263Px-LP? If not, can you please try flashing SBL Null application and test with OSPI boot mode?

2. Can you halt your R5F core and see which function call/ code logic causes the program to go into HwIP abort handler?

3. Documentation for this example mentions the use of NOR-Flash, just confirming that you are testing with a NOR flash right? (https://software-dl.ti.com/mcu-plus-sdk/esd/AM263PX/latest/exports/docs/api_guide_am263px/EXAMPLES_DRIVERS_OSPI_FLASH_DIAG.html)

I tested locally with AM263Px-LP, mcu+sdk v10.01 and it worked fine for me.

1) I am working on "NO BOOT MODE". I am currently getting error while flashing image(I started another question about this yesterday). If you can share any doc about flashing SBL, I will follow it.

2) Program goes into Hwip abort handler after UART_init()

3) I am running example on LP-AM263P board.

Step-1: Set the device in UART boot mode

Step-2: Use the UART uniflash python script to flash the sbl null application image to the AM263Px. Follow the steps mentioned in this document: https://software-dl.ti.com/mcu-plus-sdk/esd/AM263PX/latest/exports/docs/api_guide_am263px/TOOLS_FLASH.html#BASIC_STEPS_TO_FLASH_FILES
Make sure you modify the config file wherever needed to specify the sbl_null application image

Step-3: Run the python script and flash the board with SBL Null application image

Step-4: Switch to OSPI boot mode and power-cycle

Step-5: In CCS terminal, you should see the logs for SBL Null bootloader.

Now after this, connect to your R5F core and then try the ospi_flash_diag example.
